President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, officially signed key regulations for the establishment of the Investment Management Agency (BPI) Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) at the Presidential Palace on Monday, Feb. 24. The decision represents a significant step in promoting sustainable economic development in Indonesia.

“I, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, have signed Law Number 1 of 2025 on the third amendment to Law Number 19 of 2003 onyg State-Owned Enterprises and Government Regulation Number 10 of 2025 on the Organization and Governance of the Investment Management Agency Daya Anagata Nusantara,” stated President Prabowo.

During the launch event, President Prabowo signed Presidential Decree Number 30 of 2025, which pertains to the appointment of the Supervisory Board and Executive Body of Danantara. He stated, “Additionally, I have signed Presidential Decree Number 30 of 2025 regarding the appointment of the Supervisory Board and Executive Body of Danantara.”

With these regulations, Danantara will possess a solid legal basis to fulfill its role as the state's investment manager in key sectors.

Sustainable Investment to Boost Economy

President Prabowo previously stated that Danantara will focus on investing in natural resources and state assets in various high-impact sustainable projects. These projects will include the renewable energy sector, advanced manufacturing, downstream industries, and food production.

“These projects are expected to support Indonesia's goal of 8 percent economic growth,” the President stated.

Indonesia aims to accelerate sustainable economic development with long-term impacts through this investment management agency. Through investments in strategic sectors, Danantara is expected to significantly contribute to fostering more inclusive and highly competitive economic growth in Indonesia.
