Through this application, Indonesian students transferred from abroad are able to study with national curriculum.
Upon entering e-layanan.dikdasmen.kemdikbud.go.id, visitor will find two options, namely Layanan SPK (Cooperative Education Unit Service) and Perizinan Siswa (Student Permit). Layanan SPK is a facility for people who wishes to establish a learning center or school to be registered on the database of Education and Culture Ministry. Whereas Perizinan Siswa is used to administer legality of Indonesian students who want to study with Indonesian curriculum.
Below are the steps to apply for transfer of school abroad for Indonesian students:
- Go to http://e-layanan.dikdasmen.kemdikbud.go.id/elayanan2019/daftar to register. Fill in all requested data on the page.
- After filling in the data and click the Daftar (register) on the bottom right, an officer from Cooperation and Public Relations Subdivision will check the data and process the applicant’s form. Applicant also needs to come directly to the Ministry of Education and Culture office to verify the uploaded documents on the registration page.
- Cooperation and Public Relations Subdivision Head will sign the application after all of the files are checked. Next, the applicant will be given a recommendation letter for student transfer.
- The recommendation letter is later forwarded to the Legal Affairs, Administration, and Cooperation Division Head to be signed.
- The letter subsequently needs to be signed by the Secretary of Primary and Secondary Education Directorate General and then be delivered to the applicant or through Integrated Service Unit (ULT).
- The application for recommendation letter for student transfer from abroad or vice versa is free of charge.
- The process is usually completed within five business days.
In addition to student transfer, Dikdasmen’s e-Layanan also provides equalization of diploma service. With this service, the study result document issued by local or foreign educational institutions that do not comply with national curriculum can be equalized. This document may replace diplomas/transcripts/report books of elementary to high school students that do not comply with provisions of Indonesia’s education.
The followings are the steps to process diploma equalization:
- Fill in the application form online at e-layanan.dikdasmen.kemdikbud.go.id.
- Attach the required documents, namely:
- Passport photo with the size of 4x6.
- Passport.
- Statement letter from local Indonesia Representative or the Foreign Nation Representative in Indonesia or statement letter from the previous school.
- Diploma (if issued by the educational institution) or certificate.
- Transcript.
- Curriculum Program Structure (this is not required if the educational institution has provided it in the official website).
- Birth certificate.
- Report book from grade 1, 2, and 3 for Junior High School/Vocational High School/High School student or a scan copy of report book for the last 3 years for Elementary School students.
- Official from Cooperation and Public Relations Subdivision verify the form submitted by the applicant. If the document is uploaded online, the applicant needs to come to the office with the original document.
- The Cooperation and Public Relations Subdivision Head will sign and issue a statement letter for equalization of diploma from aboard.
- The diploma equalization letter is then forwarded to Legal Affairs, Administration, and Cooperation Division Head to be subsequently signed.
- Dikdasmen Directorate General Secretary will sign the letter and will later give the signed letter to the applicant through Integrated Service Unit (ULT).
- The process for diploma equalization letter is free of charge.
- The time required to process the diploma equalization letter is around five days after the document is declared complete.
